As Time Draws Near
10 April, 2000
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Suddenly scared as the time draws near
Closer to the reality, I fear
Drawn to it, like a moth to a flame
The heart again over rules the mind
I close my eyes to my thoughts
I put aside the burning
Yet it sears through even the distance
Of the miles in between
I feel the heat of your passion, it calls
Without a word you cry out my name
My heart answers with longing
The quest.... the destiny of choice
Driven I do what I must to satisfy
The hunger I feel to my soul
I wish for the peace from my passions
Still I pray for it never to cease
I look to my eyes in the mirror
Betrayed, they scream out the truth
The desire for you I feel to the core
The truth of what lies, still await
