I Cry Your Tears
2 July, 2000
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Each time your heart cries out
I feel your pain
The times when life seems so hard
Only true friendship remains
You take so much crap
But that is your choice
And in your own hands
Your future has voice
I know change is hard
But it must be faced
Not closed off to the reality
For some 'dream come true' sort of place
I cry your tears
Each time one falls
Your pain is my pain
But I can do nothing at all
Your life is your making
And say what I will
You choose your own destiny
And this way, you choose it still
Again I can try
To brush away your tears
Knowing to what I tell you
You will turn a deaf ear
So I will hold your hand
And dry your tears
Hoping you open your eyes
To embrace a new life without fear
