Archives Of The Heart
15 July, 2000
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Looking back I can see old pains
Remembering how they felt
Though the pain is past, I know it well
Old feelings which I have already dealt
Tortured minds of dragons breath
The sadness of being alone
Scared of the nightmares of a tortured soul
Tears that the heart had sown
I look back now, but not through tear filled eyes
Nor do I lie on the stained pillows of shame
I think of what I have learned from the past
Looking beyond, to the survivor of hardship I became
Fear not the Archives of the heart
Pain revisited, tears once fought
For only beauty of the pain remains
In the precious emotions, my pen once caught

Kristen () -- Saturday, July 15 2000, 06:00 am This is perfectly liberating, sweets. I've been dealing with dragons lately, as you know, and this exquisite verse lends me your vision and change. How's your voice ?(hope no laryngitis these days, doc) You've brought me to my senses true; scary perhaps for you to know, but you are my reality check ;) I adore you, K |
