Sand Castles In The Rain
11 October, 2000
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
We spent our time like children
Building sand castles in the rain
Knowing when things come to pass
We can only watch in vain
Trying to build anew
But will never be again
Forever building sand castles in the rain
Will we ever see ourselves
The way we really are
Caught up in our dreams together
Another song played on guitar
Why do we seek for more
Knowing it will end in pain
Why must we build our sand castles in the rain
So let me hold you one last time
Before we say goodbye's
Knowing if we stay together
It'll only turn to lies
Then promise me you'll turn and go
Or I will surely go insane
Watching our sand castles in the rain
