Where Do We Meet

I spoke with you of things taboo
things unspoken of for far too long
so where do we go from here
now that our pedestals are gone

So many paths we followed together
so many places we've been
now that we have spoken of them
will you hide or be a friend

Did we stir up the echoes of the past
a path we tried not to go
can we change the path midstream
will it turn to lies for love's sake

I put the trust into the friendship
a strong backbone on which to ride
putting faith in the hands of dreams
where forever ...a kiss resides
