I Won't Get Took

Black dog running
in the moon light
Stars are shining
the air is cold
I dialed your number
throughout the night
It keeps ringing
right through my soul
right through my soul
The cards are falling
face to the sky
Easy reading
if you just look
Yeah, crazy darling
let my bet ride
Do the dealing
I won't get took
I won't get took
You left in anger
walked on fast
Left me standing
here in the wake
Knowing there's danger
from keel to mast
Well, are you making
a big mistake
a big mistake?
The cards are falling
face to the sky
Easy reading
if you just look
Yeah, crazy darling
let my bet ride
Do the dealing
I won't get took
I won't get took
I won't get took
No, baby,
I won't get took

Martin Vann (63.208.45.171) -- Thursday, October 30 2003, 08:39 pm Ben, Black-Jack/21 would be a better game, at least you would know, what the dealer's, dealing, and if you can read and count to 21, better odds, no black dog, will be chasing the moon. Of course, we all have our game, sometimes we play it straight, sometimes we lie. Knowing you, Ben, like I do, you deal right off the top, I suggest you pass the queen of hearts, and stick with 21. Just my thoughts. P.S. I had a black dog once, and I named him spot. |
Ben Laney (68.127.158.16) -- Saturday, August 14 2004, 06:44 pm Martin, Your black dog named Spot just might be the one that ran by the phone-booth in the moonlight while I was making that unanswered call? Anyway, you are right. This was no game to me, it was life. Thank you very much for your comment on the writing, HAY MEE GO! I am glad you enjoyed it. Best Regards, Ben |
