Woo-ed By A Poet
26 January, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Now I see why you are never around
Another person of words have you found
You enjoy being the muse
What shame, what a ruse
In all the time I thought you cared
Funny how one uses another
When one seeks the comfort of a friend or brother
And to what end do you seek
Simply our words you critique
Only to imortalize yourself in a poem
Hardbeaten paths always turn
Even dreaming poets learn
We share empassioned love all the while
As we skillfully woo you in style
Left with only poems of darkness in the end
