A Touch Of Winter
26 January, 2001

Beautiful frozen waterfalls line the road cut cliffs
Naked of their leaves the trees are blanketed with snow
a touch of winter white is everywhere to be seen

The chill in the wind makes the scene complete
with it brings flurrys of dancing snowflakes
they tease gently at the windows

All the beauty melts into the odd shaped drop of moisture
I watch as it changes and slowly rolls away
I ponder what it all means

perhaps it is a lesson in life
that nothing of superficial beauty lasts forever
but the memory of the beauty always survives
