Your Lonely Place
8 March, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I've tried so hard to understand
the thoughts inside your head
I have placated your whims
And your ego I have fed
Nothing seems to touch you
Nothing warms your heart
I surrender to your callousness
letting you feel so smart
But I know who you are
perhaps better than yourself
I see though the facade of martyr
it must be lonely there on your shelf
A tattered rag doll of who you could be
needing the love you push away
Reality will be harsh for you
Perhaps you'll let love in one day
