Spring Tranquillity
12 March, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Smoke rises from a nearby chimney
Spiraling touching the sky
Robins hop about feeding on worms
And gathering for a nest's creation
The sunlight reflection is bright
Shining in the puddles of the recent rain
A small child goes by on his new bike
Popping wheelies while still on training wheels
Dogs bark at something unseen
A noise of movement under the bush
As the boy laughs with happiness
And the birds sing their rain song
All is right for the moment
Each minute as it should be
Quietly perceiving the arriving spring
Feeling overcome with tranquillity
