Heaven And Hell
27 December, 2003
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I beseech thee oh Lord
Those that suffer, know they the hell
The torment of their own minds?
Why must it be so?
Is it that they may recognize the heaven
In their own live's when it occurs?
I wonder, oh Lord, for their pain
Is it so they may feel the ecstacy?
Was the darkness once felt
So that one can now enjoy the light
Understanding it's worth
Appreciating that which is?
Is it the darkness that makes the light;
The pain that makes the ecstacy?
Does the suffering bring the joy,
For without, there would be nothing?
Does the living cause the soul to grow?
Each obstical overcome, make it stronger?
Do we make our own Heaven and Hell?
Oh Lord, could it be that simple?.

Meridian (205.188.209.76) -- Saturday, March 13 2004, 01:43 am Good rhetorical question throughout the poem! Every bit of it has a little realism to it! Let's hear it for The Queen of Poetry; Ms. Rebecca Hammack!!!!!!!!!!! |
