River Of Words
27 December, 2003
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Rivers of words flow freely
Untroubled by the rocks in mid stream
Whether touched by emotions
Or just a day dreaming mind
I have wished for the dam to break
So I could speak of the feelings
Held back by the self built walls
But have they only over flowed
Am I releasing only enough to sustain
The sanity of a tired soul
Or is the wall finally eroding
Enough that the tears may fall
Perhaps the overflow will be sufficient
And once again my mind can ease
Receding back to mediocrety
Where again the river of words, cease to be
