Weaving Webs
16 November, 2003
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Lost in a web of your own spinning
you dangle helplessly crying out
no longer does anyone acknowledge your words
You wonder why no one hears
Onward you spin delicately compromising
any future of resourcefulness
Deeper into the jumbled strings of misgivings
You wonder why no one cares
Circling around the truths evading
realistic views of what surrounds
Can you not understand what you've become
You wonder why no one sees?
One day the wind will blow you down
and it will all come tumblng around you
forcing you to restart from beginning or end
You wonder why you are alone.

Silkened Moon (206.216.222.93) -- Tuesday, November 18 2003, 02:07 am I loved the perspective you put in this poem Dreamer! It was ultimately very profound and meaningful, in short, I loved it! I can't believe how much beauty there is to this poem, nor did I realize how much inspiration a spider and it's web could be...COOL! I really enjoyed this one Dreamer, one of the best I've ever read! Keep writing, I'll keep reading! |
