Today And Yesterday

Today I'm fine; yesterday I felt weak
Today seems okay and not quite so bleak
Today I see blessings through the clouds
Today I see hope from where there was doubt
My thoughts are now mine again to do as I please
Not guided by morose feelings that try to deceive
I had been something I am usually not
Overburdened by pressure of life, and its lot
Yesterday's over, thank goodness for today
Yesterday I hurt and my heart seemed brazed
Yesterday's pain is now fading and left behind me
Yesterday's emotional bondage has now set me free
When I am sad and filled with doubt
Unable to see the blessing flitting about
I have to remember tomorrows are different
That all the bad days are simply abridgements
