I Hunger
31 May, 2003
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
It has been so long that I have been without
I hunger for the taste of your flesh
To feel the warmth of your desire for me
which now seems lost in some long ago dream
My soul yearns for your touch
To feel the burn of your breath
As you steal mine away
Releasing a hidden force
Not within my grasp
I wait for your return, my love
To quench my thirst
of the heat of the fires in which I bask
for the place which only you can take me
And if I close my eyes and breath deep
I can still smell your scent
I can still see your eyes
And yet I still hunger for you deeply
till it drives me nearly insane with the need
How can I sustain when it runs so deep
That it burns within me
this flame of yearning
Yet all I can do is wait
So wait... I will

Martin Vann (171.75.221.122) -- Tuesday, June 3 2003, 09:00 pm Dreamer, Although this poem is beautiful within itself, I truly admire the raw passion, based on love, that you have expressed in this work. To know a warm and loving touch, then to feel its absence, this can try us to the limit. I give you ten stars for honesty, passion and for the love you express for him. MartinV |
