Squeezed
13 April, 2003
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
squeezing
the pressure slowly pushes
from all sides
part of me wants to explode
but I continue
waiting for just the right straw
to be pulled
releasing all that is built up
till I am no more
no resemblence of who I am
where have I gone
where is the time I need so
to regenerate, rest
I need some rest
but I can't sleep, no time
I need peace
there is none to be found
squeezing
till the last straw is pulled
and I just explode
into nothing
into little pieces of nothing
then I'll find rest

Capricorn (62.30.217.106) -- Monday, April 14 2003, 04:10 pm I know just how you feel Dreamer, when tension winds you up like a spring and you cannot find peace...until the explosion comes releasing all those pent-up emotions ...and finally you are at peace and find rest. A well expressed poem. Hang in there it will end! |
