Tonight
13 February, 2003
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Tonight my love flies away from me
Over the great seas to a world of the unknown
Tonight our life changes
As it has never changed before.
Tonight my love's voice said goodbye
This time goodbye is for a time unknown
Tonight my strength fails
My tears form rivers upon my cheek
Tonight my love moves far away
When he will return is still unknown
Tonight his life takes a dangerous turn
Loneliness begins to fill my heart
Tonight my love sheds a tear of his own
Going on a distant journey unknown
Tonight he puts aside a familiar world
And becomes the warrior he has always dreamed to be

How lonely you must be, though of little help, we say, many of us have been there to, and we understand. MartinV |
