Narcissis
22 October, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Never can you escape the mirror
Facades you have made fade before your eyes
Reality looks you in the face
No one knows your reflection
No one knows who you are
Lost in the mirror of imperfection
Hating what you see
The truth is not what you were hoping for
The truth is not what you want to be
Your eyes well up
The fuzziness of the reflection remains
Re-invent reality to focus who you are
Whirling rage to all that near
Re-focused your reality becomes your be-cause
Dis-ease... dis-order... dis-function...
Alone you face your reflection in dis-appointment
Struggling within yourself to be and not to be
A reflection of what no one else sees
