Tragic Hand
8 October, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Life's tragedy has hit once again
Forcing the poet's hand
Write, or insanity will prevail
Mind in overdrive, nerves are frail
Strong emotions in full gear
Heart tugging feelings; a single tear
The pain is almost physical
Nothing in life just now is minuscule
But once the words are tooled
Stress relaxes, mind is soothed
Artistic mind's needing constant attention
And writing it down calms the affliction.
