Insanity's Clown
17 June, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Laughter splits the night
But there's no one there
Looking over your shoulder
To find there is nothing near
The telephone rings
You run to answer
The ringers not on
Oh No! once again it has begun
You'd close your eyes
But it only gets worse
So you fight the sleep
Insanity's curse
Wondering how
Did it all come about
You used to be sane
But now your not
You scream out from within
To make it all stop
And in the darkness
Your tears you sop
Oh why, oh why, does it have to be
The mind slipping away so suddenly
Jumping at nothing
Still looking around
People look at you funny
You're insanity's clown
