The River And The Cloud
13 April, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
A single cloud in a clear blue sky
High over head it floats
Watching over the river bed
That flood water's treasure it gloats
The river takes away the drift
That it earlier left behind
The water turns slowly from brown to blue
As it eventually releases its finds
High over head the single cloud
Sits lazily on the breeze
Watching over the river bed
Floating quietly over the trees
