Counting Pennies
2 February, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

I dutifully count each penny
Using them to their full worth
Each one going where needed most
As the numbers I crunch and post

This one goes to buy the bread
This one helps keep us warm
This one keeps the lights on
This one is assigned to fun

It seems the left over pennies
Get less and less each day
As we spend our way to freedom
The Tax man takes the rest away
