Jumping Rainbows
17 November, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
The jester plays in sad reality
never really smiling underneath
Hiding in the corners of a childhood lurk
he despises the cold realities of life
He closes his eyes hard and tries to think
of the secret place he'd much rather be
Still the truths hide, waiting to invade
in the darkness, he cowers till reality subsides
Lost in clouds of dreams, they can't find him here
he closes it all off; reality left behind
Forever jumping rainbows with the laughing clouds
in the fog he dances in his magical play
He laughs in places others can not go
They try to peek under the covers of his perfect place
But they see only the tear stained running face paint
of a harlequin Jester's smile
