It Ends Here
14 September, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Our hearts lies in the rubble
What were once dreams are now nightmares
Tiring, voices cry out from beneath
As hope fades
Tears fall for the tortured souls
The innocent pay.. but for what?
Some never knowing what evil happened
The darkness overtakes
The air breathed turns slowly from smoke
To the stench of realities gone foul
More mourn the loss, more fight for truth
Heavy hearts weep
The future now bleak is darkened
Life as we have known.. forever changed
The remains of fragile life slowing uncovered
Life forever scarred
The voices cry for justice are not heard
Above all else they want to fight
Life for a life and rights.. or for anger
The death-count continues

Megan (64.12.96.79) -- Friday, April 2 2004, 04:19 pm This almost sounds like what happened on that Tuesday of September 11. It is truly tragic that all of the innocent victims that once worked in the Twin Towers are now in tombstones. |
