Uncomfortable Position
6 September, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
You put me in a bad place
In the middle of two worlds
Things said in confidence
Were not things meant to be shared
When I was confronted
I didn't know what to say
The truth was not too pretty
I couldn't lie, I wouldn't have dared
The game you played was not too safe
The danger you couldn't foresee
Youthful naiveté seen only the fun
Not the possible consequence that had us scared
I am glad you understand
The position you put me in
I said and did what I had too
I did it ...because I cared
