Fragile Rose
10 August, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Spare not the fragile rose
For the thorns are deeply set
Thrusting pain within the beauty
Taking all that you can get
Wilting on the ground
You leave it where it lies
Never thinking or worrying about
Leaving with good-byes
But when you walk this way again
Beware of where you tread
You may find the prick more painful
Then what you left lying in the bed
With the removal of each thorn
Remember the fragile rose
Think about the pain that's caused
By beauty decomposed
