Shelter Me
7 August, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Shelter me from your truth
Shelter me from your storm
Shelter me from the darkness
that you consider the norm
Save me from your anger
Save me from your loathing
Save me from trying to second guess
where your mind might be going
Spare me from your tortures
Spare me from your deaths
Spare me from your life's coldness
and the sadness from when you wept
Speak not to me of your loneliness
Speak not to me of your pain
Speak not to me of all the things
that keep you from feeling sane
Shelter me with isolation
Save me from yourself
Spare me from truly knowing you
Speak silently to yourself
