The Edge
1 August, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
The last cut is the deepest
I now know what it means
The pain to hard to handle
Try to know it if you dare
You'll only close the door again
when you can take no more
I can try to reach you
but the edge, still sharp, is there
When it gets too much to bare,
(We both know life can dish it out)
Nothing I say or do will touch you
Maybe this time the blood won't stop
The past is like a cancer
It has eaten your very soul
Now life has no more feeling
Now that your blade is in control
The physical pain is easier to bare
then the feeling inside your heart
When it gets to hard to deal with
is when the cutting starts
Maybe this time will be the last
and the pain will finally end
physical ending the emotional
you let the razor be your best friend
