My Love For You
30 January, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
My heart soars when you enter a room
and I am content just to share a quiet moment with you
I do not need entertainment when you are near
Just the comfort of someone to be with
This is more then enough for me
I do not need you
I don't have to have you
But I enjoy sharing my life with you
I feel more secure having you near
You lighten the loads of life
I try not to take you for granted
but treasure the time we have together
For life is short and things change
What is real, is now
And I want to enjoy the now with you
It's not the lust.. That fades with time
But its the love that endures
It's respect we have for each others thoughts
The companionship of a best friend
Trusting in each other life's choices
If for some reason it was to end
I know in my heart I would be sad
But my life would still be enriched
for knowing and loving you
during the time we have had

Lee Ann Lopez (66.140.98.229) -- Friday, December 24 2004, 05:39 am I think this is a great poem because it reminds me about the one person that I truly love and the one that has my heart and I would give the world for him. |
