Silence Of The Night
1 July, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I feel the longing in your words
Realities of strength given and savored
Depths of darkness once surfaced
Now placed in a dark chest in an attic corner
The cobwebs of past haunting
Release to the brighter lights
A soul once entangled, freed
Now takes a breath of a fresh day
But sitting in the silence of the night
There are memories of cobwebbed corners
Which will never be completely clean
Yet for being carefully tended
Remain enclosed, the haunt subsides
