My Dad
16 June, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
To me my dad was always perfect
And he was the strongest man around
I always thought him terrific
I knew his love for me was profound
He never jumped to conclusions
He listened to what I had to say
He never left any doubt in my mind
That he loved me each and every day
My dad was no great hero
Except perhaps to me
He taught me all the wonders of life
And that the best things in life were free
Even now that I'm all grown up
His love follows me even today
I strive to be the best I can
To make him proud of me in every way
I know to him I'll always be
The little girl upon his knee
In my eyes he is the greatest
And best father there could ever be
