Another time, another place I might have touched you
With more than just a warm hug of hello
Just another moment in the darkness
May have lead us toward a closer touch of mind
Eyes meeting quickly locking but for an stolen instant
Knowing for that moment the thought was ours
An electrical charge of sudden knowing
If things were different ..then again ..maybe not
Someday again, our eyes might meet in passing
And a closer friendship between us may occur
To sing in unison our hearts together
But for a moment just two people caught in time

I was looking for just the right words to send to a friend knowing that no matter what he would be hurt, but hoping that he would also know that he still means very much to me.
