My Light

For some 40 years you’ve been here close to me,
For all this time you try to stay,
Hard at times for this too, do I know,
You leave but always return so bright,
As clouds float on by, you’re there to guide,
You keep me safe through life’s winding road,
A pleasure you are,
Taken for granted this I know,
Seen by most but not by all,
To open our hearts you’re there inside,
You’re there to be heard,
You’re there to show the way,
If only all would listen,
In times of trouble you stick by my side,
In times of trouble if only I was there,
You never doubt me,
You always trust in what I do,
A light so bright within my soul,
A voice you are so right,
A light who reminds me I’m the one to grow,
With you always with me near,
I’ll forever try my best,

This light; which never leaves nor dimmers...It's permanent, reminding you, that'll they'll stick by your side, better than Elmer's crazy glue....LOL!
