This Coin In My Pocket.. by Terrie*

like a child
on my morning stroll
i saw a coin
I picked it up
I put it in my pocket

I saw a mother and her child
sitting at a bench close by
with tears in her eyes
for i know what she faced

I walked over
w/o asking what was wrong
I reached for her hand and said
may God Bless you w/this little bit
it comes not from me but from God
she smiled at me and gave me a big hug

I bent down to give the child a hug
as i handed her that coin i picked up
she whispered in my ear
God told me an Angel would soon arrive

are you that Angel?
I simply told her
no dear an Angel I am not

but like you i too, love Angels and God
as I turned to walk away
I felt a tiny tear drop from the Lord
he began blessing me immediately after that

when I went home
God placed an Angel in my path

that little coin that touched my pocket
also touched my life
