Dancing Upon The Peices

Shadows dance across my mind
They dance upon my heart
Shadowed memories of a love
That abruptly fell apart
Fairy tales can come to life
But they're not always ever after
I'm left with dreaming again of all the joy
The smiles, the kisses, the laughter
I cried a river of tears that stung
Tears that burned their entire fall
All because I let myself fall in love
I let my heart answer to your call
These shadows torment and these shadows tease
They haunt my every being
I can't believe how lost in you I was
How I looked without actually seeing
Your presence was powerful
God, were you captivating
And your words were so believable
You were so manipulating
My heart broke into a million peices
When it fell and shattered onto the ground
Now shadows dance upon the peices
Since I lost the love I thought I found
