Forgotten

When I am asked to think of you
I have trouble seeing your face
I have another image
An unsolved, mysterious case
I don't see you, but I see your friend
Your uncle, your buddy, your pal to the end
I am teased when I tell others about what I see
They say "they do not look alike!
"What's going on with you? You freak."
Why do I have so much trouble?
Why can I not think?
We didn't have any eye contact,
You just gave me a flirtatious wink.
I'm kind of glad that I struggle,
it means that I'm not attached.
It's a relief I can't remember
Your image has been scratched.
