Aware
10 May, 2004
Author: Clive B Ringshall
It was a quiet day as I recall,
Without asking you invaded my soul,
Unlike ever before I never knew you,
You took my life and took what you wanted,
Worst of all I let you in,
Never thought I’d be so unprotected,
Never thought I needed to be,
But now you took my dreams,
Now you have my memories too,
I’ll rebuild them all, better than before,
Next time I’ll be more aware,
You’ll have to try harder if you dare return,
I’ve wised up to your invasive ways,
No longer will you walk over my soul again.
