Unannounced Flowers
8 December, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
She picks pink flowers
From a field of thousands
And places them in a bowl
On a card she writes "To:"
And leaves the receiver unannounced
She can't help but pace around the room
Wondering is she picked enough or too few
Untouched she leaves them thrown in a bowl
Wiping her eyes, wiping her tears
Wishing you home soon
She picked you pink flowers
From a field of thousands
Straight from her soul and placed in a bowl
To say everything she's always wanted to
Flowers to show love, simply put and soundless
