Pass Through Me
23 November, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
You look right through me
Past the surface, the eyes and the face
To something deeper
The part that makes me
What's been created and can't be erased
I ask what you see
And you say "nothing"
I question if you don't want to tell me
Or if you actually don't see a thing
I search your eyes for something
You won't speak and your eyes won't tell
So I hold my breath
Wondering if we'll pass another level
Survive through tough times
And beat this mess
You raise yourself above me
Come towards to touch what you see
Your hands pass right by my body
As I realize what you saw was the wall behind me
