One Unplanned Night
23 November, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
I was upset about earlier that day
Things were all backwards and not going my way
So I went into town, I guess to escape
>From the people in my life, to build a hide- a -way
I ended up with no purpose or plans
Not a party to go to, not even a dance
I cried out for an angel cried all over the lands
And a truck pulled up, inside it a man
He rolled down the windows, wouldn't step foot on the ground
Took in all his surroundings, gazing all around
He smiled at me and I knew his purpose without him even making a sound
Here it is, a gift from God, an angel I have
>From that day forth our lives were never the same
One unplanned evening and suddenly everything changed
If I could have it any other way
I wouldn't change a thing, exactly how it is, is exactly how it'd stay
I had been having a bad day
You made it go the right way
Looked me in eyes
Swore to tell not one lie
Took me by the hand
Confessed you'd love to be my man
We've been together ever since
The nature of it all is total bliss
And from each other we never stray
Side by side we always stay
You're a prince who swept me off my feet
Our kind of bond can never be beat
