All Grown Up
13 November, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
I prepare for the day I
I'll need to zip up my coat
Throw scarf around my neck, gloves on my hands
And go out alone to face the world
No more holding daddy's pinky in crowded places
Turning to mommy for her kind words
To ease my burns into nothing major with her kisses
It's me against the world and I'm all alone
But I'll never lose the memory, my heart will always love
And if I ever miss you so much, I'll just pick up the phone
