If Only
17 March, 2003
Author: Alan St Vincent
Oh how I've longed to tell you,
I wish I could hold you in my arms.
I would do whatever it takes
To protect you from life's harms.
Your beauty is something to behold,
I simply melt when I see your smile.
To me, your eyes speak volumes;
You're my jewel of the Nile.
If only you were here right now,
I'd tell you how I felt.
You'd know I'll be there for you
No matter what cards life has dealt.
Maybe the next time I see you
I won't have to say a thing.
My gaze would say it for me,
"To me, you're everything."
