Freedom

I stare into the light
Memories flooding over me faster than the speed
Washing out all unnecessary thoughts
As I struggle hopelessly to breath
As mush as I can get
No more than I need
I'll have thousands of images thought
Hundreds of life lived dreams
If I were by your side
If there were no walls or floors beneath
Would you look on through the haze
Would you close your eyes seeing me
Nothing in the world to stop this mess
No images in the world to see
No words to sing out
Nothing to make this forever be
Just hold me in your heart
Place me in your mind
I'll be so far for so long
But I'll be with you given time
I'll think of you each day flooded by the thoughts
I'll feel your lips pressing on mine
I'll fall asleep with time and hope
With vitality in my soul and unclosed eyes
I'll know I'm in your heart
With the thought you'll rest easy
Knowing you're in mine
Waiting
Just waiting for the day you're free
