I can't believe
I can't comprehend
Why you aren't afraid
How you can't be scared this will end
When all of my friends are gone
And partygoers descend
You'll still be there holding my hand
I can't help but wonder if all this is real
Or if I'll wake up in a day
In a week
And end this beautiful dream
You're so much
And I wonder how you handle yourself
And when the last song is sung
And the band is done
I wonder if you'll still feel the same
If the sleepless nights
Will turn to none
Or if you'll forget about me
Forget about life
Put your hopes aside
Burn up in the sun
But my expectations of you are so much higher
And do you know you've got me thinking
I have no reason to wonder
No reason to say so
That your story is straight
And you only say what you really mean
And if I ever think this never should have started
I'll remember your face
And I'll hear what you say
If I never said thank you
I'm sorry for that
But I need you to know
I appreciate all that you are
You are special on the outside
And inside-so much more
And when the last song is sung
I'll look around the room
To see only you and me
Left all alone
And when we realize what fate has done
We'll go through with it
We'll find out we belong together
That night
Maybe forever
But we'll never get a final answer
And we'll find out for sure
It has to happen all on its own
