You And Me
16 April, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
I'm waiting for the memory
To return as clear as day to my mind
So I can puncture this empty feeling
Go back to you; go back in time
I pass each hour like normal
Spend my days just the same
Friendly gestures to you again never
I have to act so formal
Play this game that we always play
I'll see our writings on the wall
Speaking to me they'll say
"This is for the lonely to feel love
This is for the angel's in heaven above
This is for a heart to break open and free
This is for two loves to be
Together forever
The world, they'll see
We are the greatest
You and me"
