Playing God
11 March, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
Beg me not to be a believer
And my heart only grows stronger
With his love
Attempt to convince me you'll be my savior
I look down at hell
Then reach for above
God will call to me with silence
In my heart is where I'll hear his word
As you force me further down with Satan
My soul will float with what I know
Be my comfort
Be my promise
My best friend, lover
A sinner too...
Go to hell for the pain you've caused us
Try to damn me
And he'll damn you
You're further from me than forever
Each day the distance growing more
You'll sink lower
And I'll rise higher
Away from you
Away from your world
