Two Roads To The End
11 March, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
The book of laws is placed before me
Telling the difference between right and wrong
I have the choice of which path to take
One that is short, another that is long
I can be a sinner
And take a short road straight to hell
Or I can be a believer
Trust in God and gratefully accept his hand
The road to heaven will be longer
With rules and regulations to abide
But through the power or prayer and forgiveness
The evil within me will subside
I will have times when I struggle
When the devil's grip turns tight
But if I just remember to believe and love
God will help me win the fight
I will rely on my Lord Jesus Christ the most
He'll be the one I run to when life gets too hard
But even during the good times
He'll stay in my heart and won't stray very far
Pleasant or bad times, I'll remain
Loyal to the word placed before me
Thanking God for the love in my heart
And for providing me with the help I sometimes need
I will choose the longer path
No matter how much harder the walk may be
For I know if I need the help
I will have a friend
Who'll be there to guide me to the end
