All My Fault

Her feet are spinning
Her head reels
"please God tell me this isn't real"
On a hospital bed
On a cold cement floor
Two girls lay
Struggling with a change in the world
"my best friend is dying
isn't there something you can do?"
The doctor shrugs his shoulders
Gives up
Says "it's too hard,
she's decided her life is through"
She's too weak to move
The other, too weak not to cry
Struggling with the thought
Her best friend might die
"i would do anything for you
under the stars, sun and moon"
Standing up to touch her
She's stopped by the spinning of the room
"the days without you are too long
the nights without you relentlessly last
i want to go back
to the way you were in the past"
Her friend can no longer hear her
A coma has set in deep
Again, she falls to the floor
Begins praying through her weeps
"please God, let her live
if loving her is a sin
let me die too
but I can't live without her
that's something I cannot do"
Her friend's heart stops
The girl dies alone in her bed
With her best friend beside her
The one who promised to be with her till the end
She screams at the doctor
At her mother and God
Screamed they didn't care enough about her
That's why her heart stopped
She knew she'd do anything
To live a whole lifetime with this girl
To love her and take care of her
Give her the whole world
Instead she gave her nothing
But broken hearts and troubled words
She made her heart cold
Let her suffer
And she died
...it's all my fault...
