Jennifer Lynn
10 August, 2003
Author: Ben Laney
See how the time
Has gone by
Can you tell me
Where it went?
Years have flown
Before our eyes
Like so much sand
In the wind
Still, there is
Something in our souls
That connects
Us deep inside
A love that
Is ours alone
Standing fast
Through space and time
You and I know
Seasons change
And even the
Best laid plans
So, don't you
Look at me strange
I will still
Be who I am
You know we
Both are children
Girl, we both
Want to play and sing
We want the
Best from living
And we long
To test our wings
Jennifer Lynn,
Look a little harder
And see the shape I'm in
We're older now
And, I hope, we're smarter
Let's not slip away
From each other again
'Cause I want us
Always to be friends
To the end,
Jennifer Lynn

Martin Vann (171.75.206.249) -- Thursday, August 14 2003, 11:09 pm Jennifer, You know him much, better, than the rest of us, we only know him as Ben. But, surely, he must love you, as only a father can. You are a lucky girl, you will see that to the end, to have father, who we, only know as Ben. I have heard his love songs, and I think I know, how he feels, I to, have a daughter, and she is far away. Jennifer Lynn, your name, flows like a song, I know that, with your Father, you have heard a few. Yet, within his heart, with every beat, I hear your father sing, the best song he ever wrote, was, "I love you, Jennifer Lynn." MartinV Out of here, tears drops, screwing up my key-board making it difficult, to say how I feel about Ben, loving his daughter. Hey, I'm out a here! P.S. he is not crazy, just a songs-smith, revealing his heart! |
