No More

The hospital felt cold
As mother and father walked through the empty halls
Both of them -in just one hour-looked so old...
Their daughter lay helpless
In a bed all alone
No one to comfort her
No one's hand to hold
Just broken and bleeding
Turning forever cold
Her mother saw her face and screamed
"Why God?! She's my baby girl!
She's only 19 years old!"
>From the mouth of an angel
Her story unfolds
The girl never dated much
She was too afraid to be with guys alone
Too afraid of reliving the memories of her parents
That to this day -chilled her to the bone
Pressured she felt
To make her mother happy
So she went out to a movie
That turned into much more
"A back road is where the date ended
Her cries were never heard
She begged for him to stop
And more of her clothes he tore
H raped her with no mercy
A simple kiss
Turned into pure force
And as he pushed himself inside of her
Her tears began to roll
She fought with all she had
She bit, kicked, and spit
But his mind was somewhere else
As he said 'it's just harmless sex'
She pleaded to God for forgiveness
As he forced her pants to the floor
She found the strength and the courage
To reach for the door
The wrong move was made
And he beat her until she couldn't move anymore
A stranger picked her up dumped off
On the side of the road
Her heart rate is slowing
Her eyes have turned weak
Just because you wanted her to date
And he wanted to get laid
-She told you both 'no'-
And she was raped twice in one day
This girl is going to die
And I want you to ask yourself why
You would ever force someone to do what they don't want
You are as bad as the boy
As wrong as the act
And she has to pay the price
Your daughter wants you to be proud
Happy for who she is
Instead upon her, a boy has committed a sin
Causing her whole world to crash away
Her happiness and life to stop
All because she did what you asked"
With that -the angel stops
And sees a single tear on the mother's face has formed
She falls to the floor with no expression
As the girl flat lines
-Her heart beats no more-
